Augustus Cox Scholarship Recipients
In 2019, we had the honor to present the 1st Inaugural Dr. Augustus H. Cox Scholarship to the great niece of the late Dr. Augustus Cox , Ms. Tenielle Childs who will be attending the University of North Florida this semester. The brothers of Harmony lodge #1 have worked very hard to get this Scholarship fund going and it's a blessing to finally see it come to life. Special thanks to Grand Conductress Sis. Carol Bailey (Niece of the late Augustus Cox) and the Cox family for coming out and being present for this great moment.
Despite Covid 19 slowing the fundraising efforts Harmony Lodge #1 was still able to award 2 deserving students with scholarships to help in their education endeavors. Nefertari H. Walbey received the HPGM Cox Scholarship , Daughter of Harold and Janice Walbey.
Tenielle J. Child's received a continuing education scholarship for her outstanding 4.0 GPA while attending UNF and is the Great Grand niece of HPGM Cox, also in attendance was Granddaugther Cheryl Johnson niece Carol Bailey.
HPGM Cox dedicated over 70 years of his life to Prince Hall Free Masonry & Harmony Lodge #1. His work will never be forgotten. Longe live The Historic Harmony Lodge #1.
